Fun For All Ages!

Rice Krispie Treats

Lets start with an easy treat thats delicious and fun for the whole family.  I love Rice Krispy Treats because the entire family can get involved.  Kids love making them and with a little food coloring you can make them for any holiday or party.

You'll Need:

  • 3 Tablespoons Butter
  • 40 Regular Marshmallows (10 oz Bag)
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies
  • 3-4 Drops Food Coloring (optional)

Directions:
1. In a large saucepan melt butter over a low heat and add marshmallows.  Stir consistantly until they are completely melted. Remove from heat.

2. Slowly add Rice Krispies cereal and stir until completely coated. Add food coloring and stir in until fully colored.

3. Butter a spatula, and using either butter or cooking spray, coat a 13x9 inch pan.  Pour Rice Krispies into the pan and flatten with a spatula.  Cool for 10-15 minutes. Cut and Serve.

Fun Tip: Some find it easier and more enjoyable to wash and butter hands, using them to mix the Rice Krispies in with the marshmallows and spread into the pan.
