Burn Off That Holiday Belly

                      

The holidays are finally over and all we want to do is sleep through the rest of the cold weather. Unfortunately right after the cold weather comes the warm weather and we need to start working on our Bikini Bodies now! I do these few simple exercises to help keep that Holiday Belly Away! 

  

Lifting free weights always helps keep your arms toned. As a woman I want toned arms not big and muscular so I do many reps of a low weight in order to do so. Carry them while you walk the dog or go to pick up your kids from the bus stop. Lift in the front and lift from behind. Every time you move directions you are working a different arm muscle.

                         

Leg lifts are painful and annoying but it is one of the few ways you can work that muscle in your lower abdomen.  Lay flat on the ground and lift your legs off the ground and lower them again but stop right before you touch the ground and lift up again. You can also just lift them slightly above the ground and hold there as long as you can.


Sit ups.  I don't care what people tell you, sit ups work, if used correctly.  Lay on the ground, lift your knees up and pull yourself up, not ALL the way up but just until you feel that tightness in your abs. When you feel that pull, breathe out releasing all air in your lungs and return to the ground.

  

Squats! They work miracles. They tone your legs and make your butt look like its 15 again! Put your legs shoulder length apart, put your arms straight out in front of you for balance (you can hold weights to ad extra pull) stick your butt out like a duck and lower yourself down so that your knees never cover your feet.
